Floral Keepsakes Specialized by Blooms to Heirlooms
At our floral design company, we work with a destination wedding spot at Glacier National Park, situated along Flathead Lake in Whitefish, Montana. While we work with many local brides, our services are available for anyone in Northeastern Montana. We also offer keepsakes for other special occasions, including funerals, new babies, and graduations.
Getting started is easy. Simply contact us and tell us when and where you're getting married, and we'll schedule an appointment for you. During your initial appointment, we'll show you samples, framing options, and get a general sense of your taste. In order to keep you fully informed, we'll also explain the preservation process and show you our museum-quality mat board.
After your first appointment, we'll take a deposit and provide you with a receipt for fees, as well as a policy statement. From there, we can pick up the flowers on the day of your ceremony, or you can drop them off.
Blooms to Heirlooms Preservation Process
Once we get the flowers, we dehydrate them to preserve their freshness. During this process, the bouquet is taken apart and placed in the freezer. Once adequately frozen, we then put each flower into the freeze-dryer and slowly raise the temperature each day. This helps maintain the color and shape of the flower. After our freeze-drying process is complete, each flower is sealed in order to keep it looking fresh. Our preservation process takes about six weeks.
Along with your flowers, we can also add other special keepsakes — such as jewelry or wine glasses — in your personalized display. If you'd like to include additional items in your display, you can mail them to us within four weeks of your ceremony. Once your keepsake is complete, we seal it in UV-resistant glass to lock out moisture and humidity. In order to keep your display in optimum condition, we also provide a set of instructions. Prices range from $50.00 to $1000.00
